Crescendo Concert Series 2009•10

As a gift to our community, we offer these five "free concerts". However, tickets are required and may be picked up at Dundee Presbyterian Church or by sending a stamped self addressed envelope to the church at 5312 Underwood Ave., Omaha, NE 68132. Tickets for the first concert will become available on Sept. 1, and tickets for the remaining concerts on the Monday following each concert.

All concerts start at 7 pm in the Dundee Presbyterian Sanctuary, doors open at 6:15.

Chamber Orchestra
Our tenth Crescendo! season again begins with the Omaha Symphony Chamber Orchestra and Music Director, Thomas Wilkins. The orchestra fills our sanctuary with exquisite music chosen from an outstanding repertoire -guaranteeing a dynamic performance! 

November 22, 2009 - 7 p.m.

Teresa WaltersTeresa Walters
Classical Piano
Austrian National Television calls Ms. Walters: "One of the world's most significant pianists. "She is the first American pianist invited by the nation of Hungary to present the Anniversary Concert honoring Liszt's birthday. Commentingon her interpretation and performance of Liszt compositions, The American Record Guide has proclaimed: "Her competition is virtually nil."

The Harlem QuartetThe Harlem Quartet
Jazz & Classical Strings
The Harlem Quartet made their Carnegie Hall debut in 2006, with rave reviews from The New York Times. Although classically-based, their unique repertoire includes interpretations of jazz standards. Take The “A” Train is the title and featured track of their debut recording. Harlem Quartet has studied with master musicians including Itzhak Perlman and has been featured on CNN and the Today Show.

From exciting classical arrange-ments, to vocal harmony, to burning jazz standards, Boston Brass achieves new levels in brass performance creating a unique and captivating musical experience. The ensemble's lively repartee, touched with humor, bridges the ocean of classical formality to delight audiences. Prepare for an evening of boisterous fun with a dynamic musical performance. 

April 11, 2010 - 7 p.m.

Vocal SpectrumVocal Spectrum
Barbershop Quartet
Vocal Spectrum has been singing together since 2003. These four men have traveled to Europe, Russia, Japan, New Zealand and throughout the United States singing for shows and conventions as well as teaching about barbershop harmony. In 2006, they won the International Barbershop Quartet Contest –the first quartet to win the big three; Collegiate Quartet, Men’s Quartet, and Chorus Medals.
